Status report

I'd post this directly to Facebook, but my phone doesn't load Facebook. No idea why, but that means that it's Xanga for me.

I have a Wii. Or, at least, I will. Number 4 in line. The first person showed up at 1:00 in the morning. There's been a lot of Mario Kart, and the line has been
full since 2.

I'm going to go home, play Monkey Ball and Rayman and Red Steel until the morning, then go to EB at 11 to pick up Zelda and Excitetruck.

6 hours, 45 minutes to go.

Ahahaha.

Battlestar Galactica.

What the hell.

Been looking through the catalog for that Star Trek auction at Christie's.  It's so depressing.  $5000 for a Star Trek II uniform.  $25,000 for the model of the Enterprise-A from Star Trek VI.  I'd sell my left nut for the chance to own any of the items on the auction block.

In lighter news, next week will be pretty busy.  Bio test, English test, AmHistory test, Journalism conference at the U (I'm up for a couple of opinion-writing awards, which is pretty dinkin-flicka), Quiz Bowl booth at the activities rush, Lost premiere on Wednesday, work on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and the season premiere of Battlestar Galactica on Friday night.  It's an exciting time to be alive.

I beat Lorelei and Bruno in the Elite 4 last night.  Agatha won't be too hard, as long as Uri (Alakazam) can take Weezing with no problem, and Gengar if he can hit before Gengar uses Shadow Ball.  Zuul (Charizard) can probably handle Arbok with Earthquake, and maybe Jambalaya (Raichu) can take Golbat down.  Beyond that, it's all up to Nils (Vaporeon) to Ice Beam the hell out of Lance's guys.  No idea how I'm going to beat Gary.

It's so tempting to import Pearl, even though I know that I need to be saving up for a Wii.

BREAKING NEWS: DIAMOND AND PEARL WILL BE RELEASED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER

As much as I love the Wii, I have to say that Microsoft has really been making the right moves with the 360.

Two games coming from Mistwalker.

A Halo RTS from Ensemble Studios.

1080p, and an external HD-DVD drive.

New Banjo Kazooie.

A Marvel comics MMORPG

A new Bioware RPG.

Gears of War.

Lumines.

Guitar Hero.

Exclusive downloadable content for GTA IV.

Hot damn do I love the 360 right now.

Ahahaha.  AA on Eurodance Megamix ][, 8-foot on Heavy, Marathon-length, single-handed.  Took me two hours (there was one spot that I kept messing up), but I did it.  Bitches.

Been on a sort of political science bender over the past few weeks.  Reading lots of government articles on Wikipedia and watching C-Span, mostly.  I blame Cwod and Danny, mostly.  It's like a public policy speedball.

Anyway, I was looking at some article online, and I came across this quote that made me laugh.

"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."

George W. Bush said that.  In 1999.  When Clinton was sending troops into Kosovo.  What an asshole, that Bush.
